I am not one to provide reviews, although I do rely on them, and wanted to give useful guidance to others. 20 years ago, we made good kitchen cabinet choices, but with few people in the house we changed a bar height eating bar that worked poorly to a bar height cabinet storage. This was a small kitchen, and the lack of counter space has been a problem ever since, more so as the family grew. Over the last couple of yrs the arborite counters have been delaminating, and a couple of counter companies came up with replacing the counters with no other changes possible. That meant another couple of decades of the same issues. A complete new kitchen was an answer, but then….. Tanya and team came up with an inventive option to partially replace the bar height cabinets to go with all counter height, and do a waterfall to modernize the look and frankly hide some of the old flaws. She was able to provide contrasting cabinet options, or even a willingness to order from the original supplier to have a perfect match on the replacement. That option must have been a real pain, but her goal is the best end result. Tanya was patient, taking us to the rock supplier to see large samples (we found it hard to visualize larger counters from small samples), and to immediately see the results and cost impacts of many, many options. She priced out many options to allow a ready cost benefit analysis, without steering us to any end result to hurry things along. Incredibly, her team was also able to allow the reuse of the backsplash (not standard practice, but they did it without any breakage), and even were able to extend that tiling in an inventive manner to save drywall and repainting. This was a hard project, tight space, crooked walls, uneven floors, and bounded on all sides by walls (c shaped kitchen). The old counter was flexible and not truly flat, but of course rock is. I seriously did not think it was possible. The steps and planning by Tanya and team saved a lot of additional costs and headache. Any issues or questions that came up were communicated and addressed immediately, and I would gladly work with them again or recommend them to friends and family. The end result is amazing, far better than I thought possible, and at a very reasonable cost relative to quality, while avoiding a lot of consequential costs. Thank you!!
